Prophet George G. and Leading Lady Tamika D Simmons are the Founders and Pastors of Light Of The World Christian Center, an innovative and progressive ministry located in the heart of downtown Walterboro, South Carolina. They are renowned for their ability and commitment to build people of purpose by empowering and equipping believers and non-believers to live independent of this world’s system.
Understanding that ministry exceeds beyond the confines of the church, Pastor Simmons, the visionary, is a man on a mission with a deep hunger to win souls for Christ and is committed to serving God and dedicated to follow wherever He may lead. He is revered locally and statewide as a man of vision, leadership, integrity and compassion, whose life embraces destiny and purpose. He has served in the capacity as Senior Pastor, along with his wife Lady Tamka D. Simmons, who is affectionately known as Lady T, since the inception of the church in 2003.
Pastor Simmons is the proud, devoted father of five children-George, Jr., Tiy’Shawn, Ja’Keal, Kendell and Te’Aja; who are active in and supportive of the ministry entrusted to their parents. He and his wife also serve as spiritual parents for other children in the church and community.
Because of the grace and favor upon their lives, they are seated with key leaders of like precious faith and have set a new standard of excellence in the Body of Christ; consequently, these humble servants are advancing the Kingdom of God.
