The purpose of membership in a local church is to be in a position where you can be taught the Word of God and develop your spiritual maturity.  In Ephesians 4:11, the Word of God tells us that ministry gifts were given to equip us to do the work of God, build up the church and build the Body of Christ.  It is our goal to minister to the total man in such a way that you may mature in the things of God.

 

Members will get the most out of membership by understanding what their divine purpose is in the vision mandated from God for this house.  Every church has a different vision.  Our commitment to you as a member is to provide the necessary elements to meet the spiritual needs you have and to stand before you anointed to teach you the things of God in a manner where you may both understand them and apply them to your everyday living.

 

As you begin to grow in the things of God, you will develop a discipleship mentality.  Real disciples will begin to attend the various fellowship opportunities we plan.  In the fellowship opportunities, the worship services, Bible studies and the various other ministries that we have, you will meet and develop relationships with other believers in the church.  It is very important that you surround yourself with people who have made a decision to commit their lives to Christ.

 

The Light's Excellence Ministry Teams help support the vision of the Senior Pastor by carring out his God-given vision in (1) spreading the Gospel, including external salvation, divine healing and health, the full operation of the gifts of the Spirit as well as spiritual and earthly prosperity; (2) to work share, and participate together with the Pastor as one body, "for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ:  till we all come in the unity of the faith, and unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12-13) and (3) to support the Pastor's vision, by setting a good example to those in and outside the membership of LOTWCC, through a consistent display of spiritual strengths, moral fortitude, and personal integrity.
